Gerthrudes Bed & Breakfast is my favorite place to stay in Rio de Janeiro. The hotel is fairly clean, with a welcoming staff. The location is marvelous and fabulous, situated in the charming neighborhood of Santa Teresa. It's really close to Santa Teresa hillside, many nice restaurants, trendy bars, and cute boutique shops.

The hotel's location was stunning and magnificent, just a short walk to the next metro station. Stopped by Mo Cafe for some coffee and treats, it's only a minute walk from the venue. Highly recommend.

The staff here is super friendly and attentive, plus it's just a 20-minute walk to the city center, with a great nearby spot called Cafe do Alto for tea or coffee.

This place is in a great spot in the Santa Teresa district where you can easily find shops and restaurants around. It's a good place to be if you want to explore and have some fun.

I asked for king room with private bathroom, an amazing view, as example, had a wonderful stay. The staff were superfriendly and were ready to help. The location was stunning - just 5 minutes' walk from an iconic stairway. The hotel was in a really cool area, very close to different from that of Ipanema and Copacabana, and definitely worth experiencing, Centro and good bars and restaurants.

The place is clean with a magnificent view of the bay. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic and superb. The king suite is unique and very comfy. The staff is amazingly nice. The location is particularly good, in the charming neighborhood of Santa Teresa and close to restaurants, interesting cultural areas, and downtown.

The room was a nice size and included a shower, a hair dryer, and bath sheets. The staff were helpful and attentive.- The location of the hotel was convenient - not too far away from a landmark public stairway.

The service here is excellent, the rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the breakfast is superb with attentive staff.

I recently stayed three nights at Gerthrudes in Santa Teresa and wished I could have stayed longer. This bed and breakfast is truly breathtaking, with one of the best views over Rio. The owner and staff were incredibly hospitable, providing us with fantastic tips on local attractions and hidden gems. The house itself is beautifully decorated and the spacious rooms with private bathrooms were a delight. The breakfast was phenomenal, and the view from the dining room was stunning. I will definitely recommend this paradise to friends and family!

The attention to detail is exceptional, from the comfortable beds in the spacious rooms with lovely views, to the delicious breakfast served with the best view on Rio ❤️. The staff is friendly and the basic amenities are provided, making for a comfortable stay.

All was perfect during our stay.

I loved staying at this hotel! The location is fantastic, with amazing restaurants and beautiful colonial architecture in the neighbourhood. It's also conveniently close to public transport. The hotel facilities are superb, including a cute pool and bar area. The staff were so friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. Lastly, the breakfast was incredible with a great selection of bio and natural foods.

Nothing it was perfect.

During our stay, we were delighted to experience the charming neighborhood near amazing restaurants with mouth-watering food not far from the tram station. We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful view of Guanabara Bay from the doorstep of our peaceful room. The breakfast was delicious and the staff service was excellent. The stunning house with beautiful furniture was exactly what we expected, and the pool was a plus.

Although everything was wonderful, we experienced a slight discomfort with the behavior of some of the staff members.

The room is unique, brilliant, and includes an air conditioning, a safe, and a writing desk; they offer excellent service.
